Passport to Joy

Date: Thursday, October 15, 2026

Time: 9:00–11:00 a.m.

Location: Linwood YMCA / James B. Nutter, Sr. Community Center

Join the TSOS “Do Good” Foundation as we present Passport to Joy: Around the World in a Day, a celebration for Kansas City Seniors 55+ held in honor and loving memory of Mrs. Mary M. Williams.

Volunteers will help us welcome guests and create a joyful experience filled with cultural tastings, dance and movement, crafts, photo opportunities, health and civic resources, and a New Orleans second-line finale.

The Preflight Ground Crew will arrange tables and chairs, place signage and supplies, prepare destination tables, set up photo and activity areas, and help ensure the room is ready before guests arrive.

Check-In Agents will greet guests, confirm registrations or welcome walk-ins, distribute boarding passes, explain how guests select their food destinations, answer basic questions, and direct guests into the event.

Flight Attendants will welcome guests at assigned destination tables, explain activities, assist with boarding passes, help guests navigate the experience comfortably, keep tables organized, and communicate guest needs to event leadership.

The Destination Dining Crew will serve cultural tasting portions, check or mark boarding passes, maintain dietary labels, restock supplies, keep serving areas organized, and follow the food-handling guidance provided by the event team.

The Final Descent Ground Crew will clear and wipe tables, collect materials, pack signage and decorations, assist with breakdown, dispose of waste, and help restore the venue after the event.
